Relationship Specialist 2 – Eagle River, AK (On-site)
Pay Range: $21.34 – $32.01/hour

About the Role:
Be part of a dedicated Alaska financial institution where Team Members collaborate to provide positive member experiences and trusted financial guidance. As a Relationship Specialist 2, you’ll engage with members, identify their needs, and provide solutions while supporting branch operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Consult with members in person or by phone, identifying needs, offering solutions, and following up on pending transactions.
  • Call on various reports to drive business throughout the workday and during scheduled call nights.
  • Open and maintain accounts, process loans (Closed-end Signature, VISA), and handle disbursements.
  • Perform account maintenance including issuing/re-pinning ATM/Debit cards, changes of address, name changes, adding/updating account details, closing accounts, processing deceased accounts, notary services, and issuing cashier’s checks.
  • Recommend and refer products/services such as Mortgage, Investment Services, and Autoland.
  • Ensure branch balance, identify/report suspicious activity, and complete all compliance training.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and Credit Union events.
  • Represent the Credit Union positively and professionally while maintaining confidentiality and treating members and coworkers with respect.
Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience in a similar position with prior loan experience.
  • Knowledge of Federal, State, and NCUA regulations, including BSA, Regulation CC, D, and E.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of deposit account products and services.
  • Working knowledge of loan products and associated systems (Loans PQ – loan decisioning system).
  • Proven ability to garner business and provide excellent member service.
  • Ability to work under pressure with frequent interruptions.
  • Proficiency with PC and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Strong verbal and written communication, problem-solving, organizational skills, and attention to detail.
  • Successful completion of compliance-related coursework. NMLS Registered and Notary preferred.
