Wasilla Area Seniors Miles for Meals on Wheels 5K

The virtual 5K will run from June 1-25th and our in-person event will be held outdoors on Saturday, June 25th.
On that Saturday, registration begins at 9 am and the race/fun run starts at 10 am. Register here or at WASI $25 registration.

Our goal is to raise $75,000 to fund 5,427 meals. Last year, our Meals on Wheels program delivered over 120,000 meals, which is a 41% increase from the previous year. With your help, we can continue to provide a daily wellness check by our staff and trained volunteers. Besides a daily meal, this greatly needed human connection is a lifeline for a lonely and sometimes forgotten group. Whether it is because of income, lack of mobility, or social or cognitive roadblocks, for many, Meals on Wheels is an integral part of their diet, budget, and social life. It may be the only full meal they get in a day. It really is that important.
