Senator Lisa Murkowski Hosting Infrastructure Grant Symposium

"Dear Alaskan,

From roads and ferries to broadband and wildfire mitigation, we’re seeing a growing list of awards from the bipartisan Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act (IIJA) for projects that will help transform communities across Alaska. It’s still been less than a year since the law’s passage, but more than $2.1 billion has already been announced for our state.

These historic announcements are delivering real benefits, but we have ample opportunity to receive continued support from this landmark law. To help Alaskans better navigate the process of applying for federal grants, I’m teaming up with the Alaska Municipal League and the Alaska Federation of Natives to host a second Infrastructure Grant Symposium at the Dena’ina Civic and Convention Center in Anchorage on Wednesday, September 7. For those who cannot attend in person, we will be offering a Zoom registration for virtual participation and recorded videos of the presentations will be available on my website at a later date.

Our symposium is designed to help Alaskans navigate and apply for funding from the bipartisan infrastructure law—which can be daunting on its own. I hope this event will help provide additional information and resources, so we can all work together to bring home as much support as possible.

I look forward to seeing you there!"
