This is a federally funded project led by the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (DOT&PF). Due to sustained population growth in the Mat-Su Valley, congestion along the city’s main corridor, the Parks Highway, creates significant traffic delays during peak periods. To assess congestion and delays, DOT&PF is using the Planning and Environmental Linkages process to identify an alternative transportation corridor. Visit the project website
