During the holiday season, many of us look forward to the tradition of spending time with loved ones at home and exchanging presents with one another. Unfortunately, this time we enjoy and often take for granted can be a difficult part of the year for many local families facing hardships.
To help do our part, we are once again hosting our Nuvision Cares Holiday Toy Drive to help bring joy to kids in need. By donating a gift, you will make a direct impact this year by helping create happy memories of the holidays for these children.
Give the gift of joy to local kids in need.
We are encouraging all members to join our team in filling our branches with toys. This year, all donations will benefit the Anchorage Police Department’s Project Angel Tree & Shop with a Cop Programs. These causes directly support homeless youth who are students in the Anchorage School District.
Project Angel Tree
Each year, children are identified to receive presents through the Anchorage School District “Child in Transition” Program. Members of the public donate gifts, volunteers wrap the presents, and APD officers deliver them to the families in time for Christmas. These kids lack a traditional fixed or adequate residence and often stay in shelters, motels, in cars, or in transitional housing.
“Here at Anchorage Cops for Community, we are so excited to partner with Nuvision for this giving season. We are so thankful that Nuvision has committed their support in making this year’s Lisa Whitmore Shop with a Cop and Firefighter as well as APD’s Angel Tree successful.
These two programs make Christmas a possibility for children and families in shelters and in housing transition across Anchorage. Additionally, the programs allow the community to partner with law enforcement officers and first responders in a positive way which pays dividends to everyone.
Thank you Nuvision for leading the way this holiday season!”

How you can help!
We have two easy ways you can donate. No matter what method you choose, all toys must arrive before December 16th, 2022 to be delivered on time for the holidays. Baby and toddler toys are not needed as these students age ranges from 6-18.
Your support is needed and appreciated.
The need for toy collection is greater than ever. Your help will go a long way in ensuring kids in our local community feel loved and supported.
Thank you to all of our members for making our NuvisionCares programs impactful in Alaska.
