City of Wasilla Annual 4th of July Parade

The City of Wasilla 4^th of July Parade will be held Friday, July 4, 2025, beginning at 11:00 a.m. in downtown Wasilla! Come join us as we celebrate the adoption of the Declaration of Independence and the birth of our nation. This year's parade theme is Front Porch Freedom: Celebrating Local Traditions. 

Parade day is shaping up to be a full day of fun, family, and community spirit — and we can’t wait to see you there!

FRIENDLY REMINDER: There will be no fireworks displays for the City of Wasilla 4th of July events due to July typically being a high fire season 

 Parade Safety Tips

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, please remember:

• Keep your family behind barricades and in designated safe areas.

• Stay on sidewalks or grassy areas and keep the parade route clear for floats and performers - especially around those turns!

• Do not block the fire station driveway - this area must stay open for emergency vehicles.

 First Aid & Reunification Station

The Red Cross will be providing a Basic First Aid Station from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. in the parking area at Central Mat-Su Fire Station 6-1, 101 W. Swanson Avenue. This location will also serve as a reunification point for lost or missing persons.

 Lost & Found

Lost something? Head to the Q99.7 Emcee Station, 291 E Swanson Avenue, where lost and found items will be turned in. Unclaimed items will be held at Wasilla Police Department after the event.

Please Note: The parade is approximately 2.5 miles long, so walking participants should plan accordingly and wear comfortable shoes!

 Mayor’s Community Picnic | 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m., Wonderland/Iditapark, 594 W. Nelson Avenue

You’re invited to the Mayor’s Picnic - a family-friendly gathering with free hot dogs while supplies last.  Take part in a hot dog eating contest, enjoy good food, great company, and a warm welcome from your city leaders.

 Music in the Park - Wasilla's Favorite Free Summer Concert Series | 1:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., Wonderland/Iditapark, 594 W. Nelson Avenue

Head on over for live music all afternoon! Bring a blanket or chair and relax while enjoying some of the best local talent on stage.

• 3-5PM | Music in the Park Talent Show
• 6-9PM | Black Barrel & The Bad Men
